Blessing for Brandon

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  You believe, have a personal trust, and confident reliance on Jesus Christ - therefore, you are justified and made upright, and you are in right standing with God - not by anything you've done (which I know you know) - but freely and gratuitously by His grace - His unmerited favor and mercy - through the redemption that was and is provided for you in Christ Jesus.  You, who believes in Him - adheres to, trusts, and relies on Him - shall never be put to shame!  Your main Cornerstone is a stone that will give offense at times.  You, are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special person, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.  The Spirit of the Lord God is upon you, because the Lord has anointed and qualified you to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent you to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.  Hallelujah, Amen!

Thank You Jesus!

I love you Brandon, and Jesus loves you too!!  I am so proud of you and the man of God you have grown into.  I bless you and support you 100%.  You are a blessing to me and I know you have and will bless many others too.  You have always enjoyed encouraging others, lifting them up, and bringing joy.  You are going to be one awesome youth pastor!  You are in my prayers.  : )

Love, Mom

22Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 23Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives. 24[All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus,  Romans 3:22-24

7To you then who believe (who adhere to, trust in, and rely on Him) is the preciousness; but for those who disbelieve [it is true], The [very] Stone which the builders rejected has become the main Cornerstone, 8And, A Stone that will cause stumbling and a Rock that will give [men] offense; they stumble because they disobey and disbelieve [God's] Word, as those [who reject Him] were destined (appointed) to do. 9But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.  1 Peter 2:7-9

1THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound, 2To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor]and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.  Isaiah 61:1-3
